Sony released the high-end compact camera RX100 VI, designed specifically for travellers, video creators and up to 8.3x optical zoom that is unmatched by smartphone cameras. This product uses the ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T + 24-200 f2.8-f4.5 lens and 2010 megapixel sensor.
The RX100 VI features an upgraded BIONZ X image processor and a new fast hybrid autofocus system. The latter can perform 315-point phase-detect autofocus, which Sony claims can lock focus in 0.03 seconds, and the auto focus point covers about 65% of the picture. Combines phase detection and contrast detection for autofocus, as well as high-density tracking autofocus. Sony said that this will automatically focus on the subject around the subject to improve tracking and accuracy, which is about twice the current RX100. You can also use the touch screen as a trackpad to manually lock the focus.
In addition to the 2010 megapixel still image, the RX100 VI can also shoot 4K video. 24 fps continuous autofocus and auto exposure tracking at full resolution. Up to 233 images can be stored in the burst buffer before the camera needs to be paused. However, for photographers considering the RX100 VI, this is probably the most interesting feature. Sony said the goal is to combine the flexibility and power of 24-70mm and 70-200mm lenses into one design. Therefore, this is a complex sandwich consisting of two ultra-low dispersion aspherical glass elements and eight aspherical lens elements, including four advanced aspherical lenses. Still, Sony is still trying to find a space for optical image stabilization, which the company says is equivalent to a 4.0-fold increase in shutter speed.
